Mamun is an early-career researcher currently working as a Research Assistant at the University of East London, United Kingdom. He contributes to research on trustworthy and explainable artificial intelligence as part of UKRI Innovate UK CyberASAP–funded projects, focusing on secure AI systems, cyber resilience, and responsible AI deployment. 


His research experience spans health data science, AI safety, and public-sector analytics, with a particular interest in developing interpretable and trustworthy machine learning models for high-stakes decision-support systems. He has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications in machine learning and explainable AI, including work on Parkinson’s disease detection using multimodal and wearable sensor data.


Mamun holds an MSc in Computing and Technology with Advanced Practice from Northumbria University, United Kingdom, and a BSc in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Asia Pacific. His current research interests include machine learning for healthcare, explainable and responsible AI, trustworthy AI systems, and privacy-aware intelligent technologies.
